VACATION CARE PROGRAMS OPEN!
Looking for something to do for the kids this holidays? Our Adventure Holiday Program and Goanna Gang programs are now open for June / July holidays. These programs are adventure and fun based and are tailored for school age 4 year olds to 13 year olds. The Goanna Gang programs run during the day for school age 4 year olds to 7 year olds. The Adventure Holiday Program (AHP) runs as a 3 day/ 2 day overnight program with the option for day program attendance for 8 to 13 year olds. For more information click on the links below.

Kindilan aims to exceed your expectations by delivering exceptional quality in all of our services including school camps, group accommodation, adventure programs, outdoor education programs, conferences, training venue and specialised programs. Our guests continue to comment on our friendly and approachable staff, user friendly booking system, flexible and quality programs (all tailored to meet your needs), stringent risk managment plans and practise, and the quality of our staff.
Kindilan OECC offers professional school camps and outdoor education facilitation. Kindilan has recently been recognised as one of the Top 30 School Camps in Australia (Active Education) and is one of two Accredited Campsites in Queensland (ACA). Kindilan upholds DETE Curriculum Activity Risk Assessments and can provide schools and principals with guidelines for activities and support good decision making for risk assessment. Our Client Services Team offer completed CARA forms for your service and tailored programs for your needs.
All Outdoor Educators hold a minimum of Cert IV Outdoor Recreation, many with higher degrees including teaching. The Kindilan Manager, Ms Rebecca Fox has over 20 years in Outdoor Education Teaching, facilitation and management and holds a Teaching Qualification, and Masters Degree in Outdoor Education. Bec now is one of the 12 Lead Trainers in the International Camp Directors Course (ICDC) through International Camping Fellowship.You can be assured of a quality service.
Come and experience a stress free program. We have programs from Prep to Year 12. For Junior Year levels we have exceptional programs that are themed (e.g 'Goanna Gang' style), 'Bush Appreciation' and 'Discovery' programs. For Middle School we have a range of more adventurous packages including 'Personal Development',' Leadership' and 'Teambuilding' programs, along with introductory expedition, cycling and camping packages. For Senior school we have 'Future Leaders' program and an extension of all programs that include journey based expeditions and self directed learning programs.
We also have specialised programs for behaviour management, special needs, CALD and staff teambuilding days.
Our service duration extends from day programs to week long programs. Our programs include a huge range of centre based adventure activities, along with more specialised sea kayaking (Moreton Island), cycling, walking expeditions (on and off site) with Commercial Permits from Department of Natural Resources.
Kindilan has the capacity to run programs for over 300 people at any one time on our 220 acre property. We have 190 beds in accommodation and camping gear for over 210 people in our lovely campsites. We can also concurrently run off site expeditions and school site programs of up to 120 people.
Kindilan tailors programs and services to over 14,000 clients per annum. We proudly provide outdoor education programs for youth to over 9,000 of these visitors, both on and off site. We attract a large range of school and community groups, as well as corporate guests. Our clients come from as close as Redland Bay and as far abroad as Asia and America.
Kindilan is owned by Girl Guides Queensland and has been operational as a professional outdoor education and conference centre since April 1999.

Kindilan has free WiFi which is picked up for guests in Koona, Kindilan House, Ngulu, Kantarli, Conference Halls and Seminar Rooms.
Kindilan offers free perculated coffee to all catered guests. Nothing like real coffee on camp. Free tea, hot chocolate and herbal teas also available.

Kindilan operates under the Food Safety Act (2010) and can cater for any diet.
Kindilan has conference facilities including large screens, data projectors, internet, audio systems and conference break out rooms.
Kindilan has wheelchair accessibility in accommodation and adaptive program delivery, including an abseil wheelchair.
Kindilan is having it's 60th birthday from July 2012! Guides Queensland and Kindilan OECC will be hosting several events in celebrating this milestone.
Kindilan was a Finalist in the 2011 Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation's "Encouraging Participation in Outdoor Recreation Award" and has been selected as a Finalist in the QORF 2012 Awards. Rebecca Fox (Kindilan Manager) has been chosen as a Finalist in the "Outstanding Individual Award". Winners are announced on Friday 26th October 2012 a the QORF Award Dinner. Congratulations, and best of luck to Bec. A very high recognition for her talent and efforts over 25 years in the outdoor recreation community.
As you know we deliver programs for all year levels from Prep to year 12 for public, private and special need school groups. However we also deliver exceptional innovative programs that include Grandparents Respite Program, Foster Care Respite Programs, Goanna Gang, Adventure Holiday Programs, Teen Adventure and many more community focused programs.
Kindilan is fully resourced to deliver brilliant expeditions with access to our own private property (220 acres) and bordering conservation area (over 1,000 acres in total). We also run incredible Moreton Island expeditions with walking and sea kayaking.
Kindilan operates services from other campsites in Regional areas that include Gladstone, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Mon Repos, Townsville and Cairns. We have done for so for many years now with our Grandparents Respite program.
Kindilan won "Active Education Best Camps Awards 2012". It was selected amongst hundreds of nominations.
Rebecca Fox (Kindilan Manager) is one of 12 "Lead Trainers" for the International Campsite Directors Course (ICF). This was recognised in November 2011.
What a winner!
What an Outstanding Individual!
Everyone who works with, or knows Kindilan's Manager, Rebecca Fox knows how fantastic and motivating she is and now she has the award to prove it. On Friday October 26, Bec was recognised by the Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation (QORF) with The Queensland Government "Outstanding Achievement (Individual) Award". An honor that the ever humble Bec was pleased just to make the finals. Yet to win simply “Blew me away” she said.
The individual category (whether paid employees or volunteers) recognized those who have demonstrated professionalism and a high level of conduct within the outdoor community. A large field of nominates was narrowed down to three amazing finalists of which Bec was deemed to be the winner by the board of QORF.
Held at the Greek Club in Brisbane, the awards dinner celebrate individuals and organisations all across Queensland that have been at the forefront in significantly improving outdoor recreation outcomes for participants and clients.

Kindilan OECC has been recognised as a centre embracing best practice through achieving the nationally recognised Australian Camping Accreditation. We are proud to be accredited by the ACA's Camping with Confidence Accreditation program. Accreditation indicates that we have been independently appraised and meet the core requirements for the safe and reasonable operation of a camp or outdoor activity provider.
Rebecca Fox (Kindilan Manager) is one of the Board of Direcotrs on the ACA Board, continuing into 2013. Congratulations Bec!
