Kindilan offers a variety of exciting programs for youth of all ages. The activities are tailored to suit the needs of the group and the individual, but generally focus on leadership skills, team building and having fun in an outdoor setting.

Adventure Holiday Program (7-14y.o. vacation program)

Mon 14th December - Wed 16th December 2009 and Wed 16th December - Fri 18th December 2009

3 day jammed packed with adventure and fun with other kids with a zero tolerance to bullying. A very popular program so get in quick!  For booking and more infomation please refer to this site. Youth Leader Programs Open Day/Launch

Kindilan will have an afternoon tea on Wednesady 28th October with Brisbane based principals, counsellors, youth workers and other specialists working with young people and children to network and get to know more about our Youth Leader Programs and services at Kindilan. Awards

We are very proud to announce that Kindilan OECC has won the Queensland Outdoor Recreation Awards 2008 Award for Encouraging Participation in Outdoor Recreation" for our partnership program with Seniors Enquiry Line "Time for Grandparents. Kindilan was also runners up for the follwoing awards: "Fostering Training and Professional Development" and  "Outstanding Achievement (Organisation)"

Kindilan was chosen for the Australian Camps Association (ACA) and Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation (QORF) Outdoor Summit /National Conference in July/August 2009. It was a huge success with guests from as far a field as USA and NZ, Interstate and Qlueensland. The conference shared alot of valuable resources, information and workshops. It was a huge meeting of the minds and collaboration. I wish to thank everyone who attended for making it so worthwhile and the ACA, QORF and OEAQ for organising the event and chosing Kinidlan to be the hosting venue.

Celebrations

Kindlan is celebrating its 10th birthday since opening as a profesional outdoor education and conference centre in April 1999. Kindilan is owned by Girl Guides Queensland and had been running for over 50 years previously, and still is their most significant campsite in Queensland. The  centre is still used as a training site and campground for GGQ leadership training and membership camps.

Kindilan now enjoys tailoring programs and services to over 12,000 clients per annum with approximately 24,000 visitor nights occupied, including Guides. We are proudly provide to over 8,000 people per year some form of outdoor education program. We attract a large range of school and community groups, as well as corporate guests. Our clients come from as close by as Redland Bay and as far abroad as Asia and America.

Kindilan will host Girl Guides Queendsland 100th Birthday celebrations in September 2009. We expect over 3000 Guides from past and present to be at the event which will be a celebration of the Guiding spirit and future of Guiding movement.
