We are very proud to announce that Kindilan OECC has won the Queensland Outdoor Recreation Awards 2008 Award for Encouraging Participation in Outdoor Recreation" for our partnership program with Seniors Enquiry Line "Time for Grandparents. Kindilan was alos runners up for the follwoing awards: "Fostering Training and Professional Development" and  "Outstanding Achievement (Organisation)"

Celebrations

Kindlan is celebrating its 10th birthday since opening as a profesional outdoor education and conference centre in April 1999. Kindilan is owned by Girl Guides Queensland and had been running for over 50 years previously, and still is their most significant campsite in Queensland. The  centre is still used as a training site and campground for GGQ leadership training and membership camps.

Kindilan now enjoys tailoring programs and services to over 12,000 clients per annum with approximately 24,000 visitor nights occupied, including Guides. We are proudly provide to over 8,000 people per year some form of outdoor education program. We attract a large range of school and community groups, as well as corporate guests. Our clients come from as close by as Redland Bay and as far abroad as Asia and America.
